Christmas traditions continued to be created at Christmas Near The Beach in 2015 as few would’ve guessed what would happen that night? A hush came over the thousands of people gathered for the festivities as they were greeted by the angelic voices of the youth choir and the hilarity of Grinchy on roller-blades. St. Nick’s crazy entrance on a classic Thunderbird convertible led by a marching band became mundane when the Nativity took the stage with a live Baby Jesus. ” St. Nick Bowing to Baby Jesus, is my favorite part”, exclaimed Audrey Altman of Moody Radio.
“I want you to know that what you have done with this show has touched me in a most incredible way. It’s important to make sure your children grow up to be God loving and God fearing children. I had no idea about this event until this year. I’ve always taken my girls to Young Circle for other activities but this time it was so amazing, my girls loved every minute of it. They had so much fun!! And so did I jammin’ at the DJ’S choice of worship music.” – Maylin Hernandez, Hollywood, FL
From excellent vendor delights to bands, ballet and even a visit from the Chick-Fil-A Cow the audience was filled with wonder all night long. Over 7,000 attended and more are expected when Christmas Near The Beach attempts to break the Guinness Book of World Records for “Most People Caroling” during next year’s event.
Hundreds of children passed through St. Nick’s Beach house, where they were photographed with the jolly ‘ol soul himself. These photos are posted free on the web for parents to download. “I came to the festivities with my parents and now it’s a family tradition, I hope to one day bring my own little ones to be a part of this uplifting Christmas-time party.”- Mary Cabral, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
A cloud burst like a sprinkler system over the entire park for 2 minutes, but it couldn’t drive away the joy or the joyous revelers. What happened that night? Stars twinkled, children sat on St. Nick’s lap sharing secrets, and the love of the Savior penetrated thousands of hearts. A young girl walked up to one of our volunteers at the payer tent and asked for prayer. When our volunteer asked her, “What should we pray for?” She responded, “that everyone would know the true meaning of Christmas.”
