Our Artists
For the 4th year in a row we are welcoming the most amazing band you’ll see this year… The Angel Tones Steel Drum Band! They’ll take you to the islands with their steel drums and their lively performance! The steel drum originated on the Caribbean island of Trinidad in 1946 and is the only acoustic musical instrument invented in the 20th century. Steel drums are made right from used oil drums. The Angel Tones Steel Band is from Fourth Avenue International Worship Center directed by Pan Paradise artist, Dexter Brown. He wittingly directed teenagers with no prior experience to the enviable position of two-time State Champions, they went on to compete internationally for the Church of God Teen Talent competition in which they won the steel drum competition in San Antonio, Texas Alamo Dome and at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.
Dexter is a valued and prominent community leader, who has used his musical ingenuity to instruct young people in music at the Upper Room Christian Academy and Davie Elementary. Additionally, he vigorously volunteers his time and resources in teaching the youth at the Fourth Avenue International Worship Center, the creative art of playing music on the steel pan instruments.
Dexter has several attractive credits to his name. He has arranged and directed music for several elementary and high school students in the South Florida region.
Leading thousands of people into worship and praise is nothing out of the ordinary for Austin Adamec. This 24-year-old, natural born leader was destined for life in music. Austin is continually sought out by churches and ministries in Northeast Florida to lead worship at their services, events, and concerts. He has been compared to Chris Tomlin with a rock edge. When Austin isn’t on stage, he is traveling back and forth to Nashville working with some of the top writers and producers in the Christian music industry. His five-song EP, My Only Answer, was released in October of 2011.
With a passion to reach people for Christ through music, Austin Adamec has found God’s calling on his life and is pursuing it!

Billy the Marlin
Billy the Marlin is the official mascot of the Miami Marlins baseball franchise. At 8 feet tall and 250 pounds, he is “a natural-born clown and good-natured prankster“.[He appears at every Marlins home game at Sun Life Stadium and Marlins Park, and performs his own routine in the middle of the 5th inning.
LOOK for Billy at 6 pm to 7pm at Christmas Near the Beach.
The Marlin’s Street Team will have a table filled with giveaways, but brush up on Marlin trivia for prizes!

Only One Roadway
Only One Roadway street ministry reaches out to the community in street ministry with a variety of artistic venues, such as mime, dance, and character acting. From book store openings to outdoor christian music festivals, they’ve ministered the Gospel to large or intimate crowds. Wherever the Lord calls, that’s the road they take. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO one comes to the Father except through me.- John 14:6.

The Pursell Family Band began 15 years ago with our 4-year old and 7-year old playing cardboard boxes with sticks. As these fiddlers grew, they found they enjoyed bluegrass music much more than classical Suzuki. The next oldest decided she wanted to play mandolin, the next the banjo, and the youngest the mandolin as well. Mom and Dad didn’t want to be left out and joined them with bass and guitar. Before we knew what was happening, we were a family band. We love playing bluegrass and old gospel tunes together whether in our living room or in front of a crowd at the park.
